How are HSC companies different from traditional providers?
Unlike a traditional provider, HSC companies are controlled by the members and users of its services. Because of this unique characteristic, cooperatives are able to focus on self-direction, self-determination and on the needs of their members. HSC companies are built upon the strength of partnerships with the public and private sector and the principles of the International Cooperative Alliance, ICA.
